The Moment I Realized My WhatsApp Web Extension Might Actually Succeed

The Data That Changed My Perspective

Later that same day, curiosity got the better of me. I searched for global search volume data on “web.whatsapp.com”.

The results were eye-opening.

WhatsApp Web ranked among the top searched terms worldwide — somewhere between 4th and 6th place globally. That level of interest was massive.

Suddenly, the doubt felt irrational. If millions of people were actively using WhatsApp Web every day, and my extension could make that experience noticeably better, cleaner, and more personalized, why wouldn’t people want it?

It seemed almost silly to assume otherwise. The potential audience was clearly there.

From Personal Project to Something Bigger

That moment shifted my mindset. What started as a tool built mainly for my own frustration with WhatsApp Web’s limitations slowly transformed into a project I believed could genuinely help many others.

I continued building with renewed conviction: keep it lightweight, make it intuitive, and focus on real pain points that millions of users face daily.
